Community Unites to Support Local Students with Generous Contributions

Elizabeth, NJ – The Elizabeth's Promise Awards fundraiser, held on Friday night, was a huge success, raising over $10,000 to support the organization's mission in the city of Elizabeth. The event brought together local leaders, community members, and supporters to celebrate and give back. Special thanks were extended to Senator Cryan, Councilman Carlos Torres, Assemblywoman Annette Quijano, Commissioner Sergio Granados, Union County Chairwoman Lourdes Leon, Councilwoman Patricia Perkins Auguste, and Elizabeth Board of Education Commissioners Chevres, Moreno Ortega, Barbosa, and Jacobs for their invaluable support and presence.

The evening's success was largely due to the hard work of F. Cuesta, the event's organizer, as well as Veronica Salgado, the secretary and treasurer of Elizabeth's Promise, whose dedication in planning the event ensured its smooth execution. “Veronica, your efforts were crucial in making this event a reality, and we deeply appreciate all you’ve done,” said Cuesta. The night not only raised vital funds but also created a sense of unity and shared commitment to the future of Elizabeth.

The money raised will go directly toward funding scholarships for deserving local students, helping to ensure that more young people in Elizabeth have access to educational opportunities. With the continued support of the community, Elizabeth's Promise is excited to provide these scholarships and make a lasting impact on the future of local students.
